ED affects more than 10 million American men of all ages. Don’t suffer in silence; reach out today. With Tennessee Men’s Clinic, you could receive treatment to help you recapture your sex life.

What is Impotence/Erectile Dysfunction/ED?

Erectile Dysfunction is a men’s sexual health condition where a man has trouble reaching and/or maintaining an erection. This condition is most commonly seen in men above the age of 40; however, it occurs in men of all ages and is very common. While ED is not typically considered a dangerous or life-threatening situation in and of itself, the underlying issue and/or the symptoms that arise from ED can be more serious. Issues may include more serious and/or frustrating physical and mental conditions such as: systematic vascular disease, a heart condition, cancer, depression, anger, low self-esteem, decreased energy, trouble sleeping, reduced sex drive, and relational tension, to name a few.

Who suffers with ED?

Men of all ages suffer with Erectile Dysfunction. It is a common condition most prevalently seen in men 40-years-old and up. ED occurs when internal systems and external stimulants do not work together in arousal situations. For a man to become aroused, his brain, hormones, nervous system, cardiovascular system, and other internal processes have to be functioning properly. And, these can be thrown off by physical issues or by mental issues. Being upset, stressed, frustrated, depressed, can all factor into a man being unable to become aroused. Most men will have an ED experience at least once in their lives because there are so many potential factors that can cause it to happen.

Here are some of the treatments we provide or outsource:

Increase the penis’s blood flow to allow the penis to become hard and erect. They help a man achieve an erection once stimulated. Examples: Avenafil, Sildenafil, Tadalafil, and Vardenafil.

Potential side effects: Headaches, flushing, stuffy nose, or changes in vision.

Cylinder-shaped mechanism is place on the penis to withdraw air, create a vacuum, and erect the penis using increased blood flow. User places a rubber ring at the penis’s base to maintain the erection.

Potential side effects: Bruising, numbness, or a feeling of coldness in the penis.

A muscle relaxant is injected into the penis using a small needle. The penile muscle tissues relax, allowing increased blood flow and an erection. Tri-Mix, Alprostadiol, Phentolamine, Papaverine, and Caverject are all examples of the muscle relaxants.

Potential side effects: Pain at the injection site, prolonged erection, or scarring.

Two balloons are surgically implanted into the penis along with a pump in the scrotum and a reservoir near the bladder. When the pump inflates, it causes the reservoir’s fluid to inflate the two balloons, which causes an erection. An outside vendor is used for this treatment.

Potential side effects: Risk of infection, mechanical issues, or changes in sensation.

User inserts a tiny pellet consisting of relaxation medication into the penis to increase blood flow by relaxing the blood vessels. Example provider: MUSE. We outsource this treatment.

Potential side effects: Urethral discomfort or irritation.
